In mid January 2008, we learned of a possible Belgian Sheepdog female in the Stockton, CA animal shelter. She had been picked up as a stray in the area. We went to check her out and after consulting with other BSD folks, brought her home the next day. She came down with kennel cough that progressed to a severe case of upper respiratory illness. We nursed her for weeks and in March released her to her forever home; the Pettit family in San Carlos, CA who had a rescued BSD male, Timber. Tinga finally became well enough to be spayed and now leads a life of luxury in a very caring home. Tinga was rescued under the auspices of the Belgian Sheepdog Resuce Trust. |
