About Us
I met a Belgian Sheepdog for the first time in Davis CA in 1976. But it wasn't until 1982 that we were able to get a puppy; a fuzzy bundle of love from Ellen Haro of Greenfields Belgian Sheepdogs. The delightful puppy that captured our hearts and began our odyssey in Belgian Sheepdogs was "Hurri" who grew up to become Ch Greenfields Ouragan CDX, HIC, TT, agility prior AKC. He is pictured in the poppies.
We breed infrequently, for ourselves and to improve upon the parents. We breed the best to the best, carefully selecting for sound temperament, health and longevity, correct structure and movement, and work ethic/biddability. We strive for beauty, brains, and function in our dogs while training and participating in all venues. In addition to breeding and competition, we, along with our granddaughter Kayla Savory, have been active in rescue. We engage in networking for potential adopters, fostering, as well as keeping unplaceable rescues and rehomes. Our odyssey in Belgian Sheepdogs continues to unfold.
